Yesterday was my sister's 17th birthday and I got her a nice new leather bound Bible. Her previous Bible was similar to those huge Psalty Bibles intended for kids in elementary school so I thought a newer, smaller, and a more "grown-up" looking Bible would be a good gift. I couldn't really find a nice dark toned Bible so I ended up getting her this pastel green & dark chocolate colored one. I must admit that the colors look a bit strange on a Bible, but in a way it looks nice as well. She ended up really liking it. :)
Last week on the 21st-24th I went to Vision Conference which is a large Christian conference run by KCCC. Every year we start off with a concert and this year they got Phil Wickham to perform! Immediately after the performance my friend, Grace, and I RAN out of the room and we were first in line to get an autograph and picture with him! It was so awesome except for the fact that he didn't look at the camera! D;
Overall the conference was amazing and I felt so blessed afterwards. I took my sister as well and she had a good time which was really a relief to me. She somehow ended up being placed into the same room as me so that was somewhat awkward but I think it ended up as being a good thing. I really really liked my soon group this year. Team 21!
I made a lot of new friends through the conference and I can't wait to attend again next year!

Freedom to Live
I think I did pretty well on all my finals, but I'm not going to put too much faith in that statement until I get my grades this Friday.
Although I finished all my finals last Thursday I'm not really on break because I still have work and I'm still in Irvine due to it. But I don't mind it much because I only work for 4 hours a day and then I get my apartment all to myself. And it's not only my apartment, it's nearly the entire apartment community so I feel so free! Yesterday I got some cleaning done, played FFX for 4 hours straight, watched TV, and then blasted Christmas music until I fell asleep. I absolutely love having this whole place to myself. haha.
With my roommates gone I decided to clean the place up. I spent over 2 hours mopping the floor, dusting all the furniture, cleaning the kitchen, and cleaning both the bathrooms. By the end my back was aching but I felt so accomplished. I really love cleaning.
It rained a lot yesterday. The rain's cleared up today but it's still freezing cold. But on the plus side, unlike at home where my frugal parents don't allow me to turn on the heater, I can turn on the heater in my apartment so I'm nice and warm despite the low temperatures.
The only downside to this amazing week is that I forgot my cell phone at home. Not having it really makes me feel empty and sad. :(

Fever
I caught a nasty fever last Friday and it really sucks. Finals are this week and it's so hard trying to keep myself awake when my body just wants rest.

Recovery Process
I'm healing a lot quicker than I thought I would be. I owe it all to my amazing friends who are all making this recovery process easier for me. <3
I've decided to study abroad in Korea next year for fall semester. I haven't told my parents yet but they'll probably say yes anyway.
My friends and I applied for an apartment for next year on Veteran's day. I'm really excited to finally live with KCCC friends next year. :)
Plus, I'm getting my braces off next Saturday!!
There's a lot of things to look forward to. I won't let the break up make me miserable anymore.

The Break Up
Life's been pretty tough for me lately. I feel extremely lonely and empty.
I broke up with my boyfriend about 10 days ago, the first of November to be exact.
I've been crying myself to sleep ever since the break up. I'm depressed but I think I'm ever so slowly starting to recover. My friends have really been helping me and I'm so grateful for them.
I've been praying a lot and I've come to realize I just need to have faith in God and trust that he has a great future planned for me, even if that may be without my ex.

Sports Day
Last Saturday was KCCC's annual sports day event. All the KCCCs from each campus (in California) meet up once a year and compete against each other in volleyball, soccer, basketball, and team jump rope. This year UC Irvine took the championship! But I had to leave a little early so I wasn't able to celebrate with my campus. :( But still, I had a good time and I really liked my campus's t-shirt this year because it was red. haha :)

Busy Busy Busy
I've been overwhelmingly busy since the last time I posted. School has officially started and I can already tell that this year is definitely not going to be as easy as my freshman year. I'm ridiculously scared for my math class because I got a difficult professor with an extremely bad accent so it's hard to understand what he's saying. I'm going to have to study a lot harder this year and actually go to office hours. I never went to a see a single professor during their office hours during my freshman year so I'm somewhat scared to start doing so now. Mostly because I'm shy and afraid to ask questions... ha.. ha.. heh.

Hello New Freshmen
I've been quite busy this week helping out my club, KCCC, with the welcome week activities for the new freshmen. On Monday we had a pot luck and last night we had a scavenger hunt. Both events were awesome and I can't wait for orientation chapel tomorrow! Yay! (Picture was from the scavenger hunt)

There's the Sun
Yesterday my boss called me into his office 10 minutes before I was about to leave and told me that since I was doing such an excellent job he would be giving me a raise starting next month. Whoopee! He also told me that this is the fastest he's ever given anyone a raise; I felt really proud when he said that. Just after 3 months for working I've gotten a raise. :)

MacBook!!!
I GOT MY MACBOOK YESTERDAY!!! I got the MacBook with 2.4 GHz Intel Core Processor, 2 GB memory, and 160 GB hard drive and I also got a 16 GB iPod Touch. The total retail price was $1,730 but I'll be getting a $300 rebate in about a week so I got it all for $1,430. Yay!
I gave my 80gb iPod classic to my sister, my sister gave her nano to my mom, my mom gave her shuffle to my dad. We're all really happy with our new gadgets. haha. :)
No work today so that's a huge boost to my happiness level as well!

I Got My Math Class!
When I signed up for my math class 2 months ago I was #5 on the wait list, and finally I got an e-mail from the school today informing me that I was put into the course. YES! I really needed this class so I'm really glad I finally have a guaranteed spot.
With this math class I'm currently signed up for 21 units, which I can probably handle but am too lazy to do so. I'm debating over which class to drop but it's so hard! All my classes sound like really interesting classes so I can't decide on which one to drop. I probably won't have another opportunity to take the class I drop so it's really a tough decision. :(
On the bright side, 10 more minutes of work and I'm out of here!!

Forgetful
Jeez, 5 minutes ago I told myself that I had to visit an important website but after a minute I completely forgot what that website was. Now I'm getting really frustrated, and almost angry, that I can't remember what website I was thinking of. I hope I remember it soon or I'm seriously going to have a migraine.

Please Wash Your Dishes
She's doing it! She's finally doing it! My roommate is finally washing her dishes!
One of my roommates sub-leased her room to her friend, a graduate student, for the summer and she's the messiest person I've ever met! After making a hearty meal for herself on Tuesday night she left all her dirty pots, pans, dishes, and silverware in the sink overnight. The next evening as I was washing my dishes after dinner I noticed that her dirty dishes were still in the sink. And now, after 3 days, she's finally washing all her dishes!

Lame Excuse!
I stayed up watching the olympics and fell asleep around 5.
Big mistake.
I woke up to see that my clock read "9:02". I was late. There was no way I was going make it to work so I started freaking out. I came up with a lame excuse and after I decided on what I was going to say I rehearsed it and finally called my boss at the office. No answer. So I tried his cell phone. Still no answer. I did not want to leave a voice message so I e-mailed him instead and he called me back within a few minutes and told me it was okay to take the day off.
I hate lying! Never again will I stay up past 2 again!

Peanut Butter & Jelly
I've fallen in love all over with peanut butter & jelly (jam actually). The peanut butter is so creamy and salty while the jam is sweet and tangy. Recently I've been eating peanut butter & jam on english muffins for breakfast and I've become addicted to them! I think the warm toasted english muffins make the whole thing so much better. I just ate an english muffin with peanut butter & jam for dinner a few minutes ago and I am completely satisfied and happy.
I'm such a weirdo.
